It's no surprise that our soft pastel blue is a favorite in the rooms of our most precious little ones. This soothing colour creates a calm, peaceful environment in baby rooms, while also adding a tranquil, airy touch to other spaces in the home.
For coverage, application and additional product information, see our Lime Paint Guide below.
LIME PAINT
COVERAGE
- 1 kg bag covers approximately 8 m² / 86 sq. ft. with the recommended two coats, or 16 m² / 172 sq. ft. with one coat.
- 500 g bag covers approximately 4 m² / 43 sq. ft. with the recommended two coats, or 8 m² / 86 sq. ft. with one coat.
Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on surface absorption and application technique.
APPLICATION
For best results, we recommend applying two coats. The second coat is where the characteristic depth, movement and texture of Lime Paint really come to life.
Start at the top corner of the wall and work downwards in sections of approximately 45–90 cm / 1.5–3 ft., completing each section as you move across the wall.
Stir the paint thoroughly before and throughout application to prevent pigments from settling at the bottom of the bucket, which can cause uneven color.
Apply consistent pressure with your brush strokes, as varying pressure may affect the final color and appearance.
The color will appear darker while wet and lighten as it dries.
For a step-by-step demonstration, see our Video Instructions.
PLEASE NOTE
- Application technique, surface material, surrounding colors, and lighting conditions can all influence the final appearance of the color.
- Colors displayed on screen may vary from the final painted color.
- Lighter shades naturally create a more subtle effect, while darker shades tend to show more variation and movement.
PLASTER PAINT
- 2 kg bag covers approximately 6 m² / 65 sq. ft. with the recommended two coats, or approximately 12 m² / 130 sq. ft. with one coat.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Coverage is approximate and may vary between 5–7 m² / 54–75 sq. ft. with two coats, depending on surface absorption, material thickness, and application technique.
- For best results, we recommend applying two coats.
- Apply using our Natural Brush, then gently smooth the surface with a slightly damp sponge to create the characteristic soft, stone-like finish.
- Application technique, surface material, surrounding colors, and lighting conditions can all influence the final appearance.
- For best results, we recommend watching our How to Mix and How to Apply Plaster Paint videos before starting.
TOP COAT GUIDE
COVERAGE
- 575 g bag covers approximately 8–10 m² / 85–102 sq. ft. with one coat.
Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on surface absorption and application technique.
MIXING
Mix the contents of the bag with 900 ml of water to make approximately 1.2 L of Top Coat.
Mix only what you plan to use and preferably prepare the product on the day of application. Once mixed, store in an airtight container for up to 14 days. The powder can be stored sealed for up to 1 year.
APPLICATION
Apply Top Coat evenly with a brush, following the same brush direction or technique used for the Lime Paint underneath.
Apply thin, even coats. Applying too much product can create a white haze once dry.
Recommended room temperature during application: 15–25°C / 59–77°F.
Wait at least 72 hours after the final coat of Lime Paint before applying Top Coat. Remove all painter's tape before application.
HOW MANY COATS?
1 coat — Light protection
Provides some water resistance and is suitable for walls requiring minimal protection. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
2 coats — Medium protection
Creates a more water-repellent surface and is suitable for areas requiring additional protection. Clean with a damp or slightly wet cloth.
3+ coats — High protection
For maximum water resistance, apply at least three coats, ensuring the entire surface is evenly covered. The surface can be cleaned with a wet cloth. We recommend drying the wall afterwards to help prevent streaks or water marks.
DRYING TIME BETWEEN COATS
- 1st coat: Apply at least 72 hours after the final Lime Paint coat.
- 2nd coat: Wait approximately 6–8 hours after the first coat, depending on humidity.
- 3rd coat and beyond: Allow approximately 24 hours between coats.
PLEASE NOTE
- Top Coat is intended for indoor use only.
- It is not suitable for permanently damp areas or areas exposed to heavy amounts of water, such as inside showers.
- Avoid exposure to frost or extreme heat.
- Top Coat may slightly deepen or warm the appearance of the Lime Paint color underneath.
- Top Coat improves resistance to everyday stains and moisture, but cannot provide protection against every type of stain, scratch, chemical or strongly colored substance.
